Jobs of the future will require workers to have higher levels of technical, academic, and interpersonal skills
and to keep those skills current with changing technology. To be competitive in
a global economy, Alabama must have a workforce development system that not only
provides the higher-level skills needed for initial employment, but that also
serves workers needing to upgrade their skills.
